The LATINA Style 50 recognizes the continuous commitment to diversity that its companies possess. While the following companies did not make the list this year, we would like to recognize them for their efforts in the recruitment, development, and inclusion of Latinas.
American Airlines
The creation of a collaborative and inclusive work environment is a top priority for American Airlines. Its women’s resource group holds an annual career conference and other events throughout the year to increase career opportunities for female employees. Its Hispanic resource group just launched a new mentoring program for its members. Latinas are recruited through professional organizations, including the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and the Women in Aviation International Conference.
Credit-Suisse AG
At Credit-Suisse AG diversity and inclusion are seen as critical to staying competitive in the marketplace. Latinas can be found in senior executive positions at the corporation. It has various employee support groups to help foster an inclusive environment at the company. These include a women, family, and multicultural networks. Employees can also take advantage of leadership programs and continuous education opportunities offered by the company.
MGM Mirage
MGM Mirage strives to incorporate diversity and inclusion into all aspects of its business operations. To achieve this, it has created diversity councils that meet regularly to discuss workplace environment matters. Latinas are recruited through Hispanic media campaigns, universities and culinary academies; and organizations such as the National Council of La Raza.
PG&E
At PG&E diversity is seen as an integral part of its core values and strategy. Latina employees can take advantage of the various mentoring, leadership, and career development programs that the company offers. Additionally, the Latino Employee Resource Group strives to build an inclusive environment for Hispanic employees. The company partners with professional organizations like NSHMBA and SHPE to recruit Latinas.
Principal Financial Group
Diversity is seen as a strength and competitive edge at Principal Financial Group. Its Hispanic/Latino Resource Group regularly partners with the Hispanic marketing team and Spanish literature review board. The Women’s Network for Leaders initiative supports the advancement and engagement of female leaders and employees at the company.
